MEET RICK SIMCOCK, D.D.S.

Wanting balance between my work and personal life was at the heart of my practice transformation

RICK’S STORY

CAN YOU RELATE?

After being in private practice for the last few decades, I had become a very efficient endodontist. But something was missing. While completing 9-10 cases a day, i started looking for an exit strategy. My practice felt like it was in a rut and i wanted to find a way to reignite my passion.

At a national meeting of endodontists, I heard about the GentleWave System from Sonendo and saw some of the case reports and firsthand reports of those that were using the system. I was intrigued. I bought two units for my 2 practices, got trained, and then found that all of our systems, strategies, and efficiency protocols were outdated.

I decided to embrace this new technology and focused on developing a highly-efficient approach to scheduling and treating patients. I was excited again to start doing root canals and fell back in love with my practice. After 6 months, my life changed. I looked forward to coming into work and approaching my patients with a new attitude. I thoroughly enjoy the new technology and believe there has never been a better time to be an endodontist. Our field is moving from minimal instrumentation endodontics towards non-instrumentation endodontics, join me to learn why. I’ll show you how to incorporate my techniques into your clinical protocols.

A ONE-MINUTE HISTORY OF MY LIFE

“I was raised in Walla Walla, Washington and attended Loma Linda University in Southern California in 1997. Upon graduation, I was accepted into a two year residency program in Endodontics at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. In August of 1999, I opened a new practice in Skagit County. In 2017, I opened a second endodontic practice in Bellingham, WA. called North Sound Root Canal Specialists.

I have two wonderful adult children, Ethan and Lindsey and am married to Hannah. We live in Bellingham overlooking the beautiful Bellingham Bay with two dogs, Eloise, a French Bulldog, and Darby, a Golden Doodle. We enjoy many activities that are readily available in the Pacific Northwest, including snowboarding, skiing, hiking, and enjoying our friends. My personal interests include music, running, reading, personal growth, and traveling.”

MEET Kathy Smart

Coach and Development Specialist

Kathy’s dental journey started at the dental chair as a dental assistant and sterilization tech, and she’s been leveling up ever since. Born in the Mid-west, Northern Chicago area she moved to Washington when she got married and has stayed in the PNW ever since. She received her BS in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and her passion for people and communication kept her in the dental field. For the past 20 years, she’s been the heart of a top 1% producing Endodontic practice—helping grow it from a tiny team of four into a thriving, social media recognized multi-location crew with multiple doctors.

When she’s not running the show at the office or coaching other endodontic practices to grow into their ideal practice vision, you’ll find her spending time with her beautiful family and friends, traveling, walking her 2 dogs, baking something for someone, listening to an audiobook or podcast and giving back to the community—because she’s all about connection, inside and outside of work.

She’s worked with all kinds of Endodontists and business owners and loves building strong confident teams, creating systems that actually work, and making the office feel like a place people want to be part of. Her favorite part? Watching her team grow and succeed together and finding ways to consistently improve. You can call her ‘Coach K’

The Endo2endo Coaching Program Is About Collaboration.

We tailor your program to your practice and goals. The idea is for you and your staff to become excited about what can change and work with our team to make those shifts. To move away from that “we’ve always done it this way” mindset. A new perspective can have a huge impact
on your time, enjoyment of your practice and your bottom line.

We can help you build a more vibrant, self-motivated, confident office culture empowered to foster excellence, teamwork and pride. With more efficiency, dependable scheduling and confident job performance, you will gain more abundance and freedom in your life.
